Disappointing

I'm supposed to be in Nashville.  The trip was planned well in advance.  It would be a fun time.  A time of learning.  Of getting CEU's.  Of eating good food and visiting fun places.

My bags were packed (well, in my head) and a sign was ready for the door.  I even printed out directions and had calculated in my head how I'd be spending every single minute of my trip after downloading Siemens agenda on my iPhone.

But.  The snow came.  The trip was cancelled.  And I have swore off making any plans again in the dead of winter.

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm!

  1. That was too bad it got canceled! Sounded like lots of fun. I heard a lot of flights were canceled even from leaving from Phoenix here back to the East Coast. I guess better safe than sorry except for the fun that is being missed.

  2. I for one, am glad that you weren't stuck in a 2' snowdrift with the front-end of the car smashed in. You did dodge the bullet, more fun times will come. I'm sure you will find them!

  3. We had the biggest snowfall down here than we have had in about 13 years I think they said. Putting pics on my blog here in just a few, but you probably saw them on Facebook. Sorry you had to cancel the trip! Maybe you all can come down on a vacation sometime.

  4. Oh no! BUT at least you didn't get stuck at the airport or in Nashville:) My Sister had a trip planned to Kentucky to see her little Grandson and had to cancel too! She was pretty sad:( Sending you a warm Georgia HUG this morning!

  5. Bobbi, we will always be in contact with you. I was just trying to set up a new blog format and completely messed it up just before I had to leave the house. I thought everyone had read that post by then. If anything should happen to me, you are on the list of people to get an email from my friend Rachael. Hopefully not for many years. I agree with the above, better home safe than landing in a snowdrift.

  6. Bobbi, I have learned that traveling in winter can be dreadful. We went back to our old area last weekend and while there wasn't snow, there was pouring rain and people driving 80mph bumper to bumper in those conditions. By the time we got to the airport, I was a nervous wreck and then both of our flights were delayed. So glad to get home. Glad you weren't stuck on the interstate for 15 hours like I heard some people were. There will be another trip to Nashville, hopefully in the late spring.
    Hugs, Noreen
